By combining the ceramic fiber mat with our 1.4828 stainless steel thermal insulation sheet, you can create a highly effective custom heat shield that helps protect surrounding components from extreme temperatures and reduces radiant heat in demanding engine bay and exhaust applications.

Simple Installation:
Cut the ceramic fiber mat to the required size and wrap or place it around the component, such as a downpipe or exhaust pipe. Position the thermal insulation heat shield around the insulated component and weld the outer shield into place.

Exceptional Thermal Stability:
Unlike many conventional fiber insulation mats, the NEW BOOST Products Ceramic Fiber Mat remains stable even when exposed to extreme temperatures exceeding 2200 °F / 1200 °C. Under intense thermal stress, the material maintains its structure without becoming noticeably brittle or difficult to handle.

Even after extreme heat exposure, the mat remains flexible enough to be handled, bent, repositioned, and further processed. Unlike traditional fiberglass insulation materials, it does not release the same unpleasant loose glass fibers commonly associated with fiberglass mats during handling and fabrication.

Tested Under Extreme Conditions:
During our practical testing, the ceramic fiber mat was exposed directly to temperatures above 1200 °C / 2200 °F for several minutes, with the heat source positioned only a few millimeters from the material.

Even under these extreme test conditions, the mat showed no visible signs of thermal damage: no discoloration, no brown marks, and no structural deterioration. After testing, the material could still be handled, bent, moved, and further processed without visible damage or significant fiber release.
