Silicone hoses are high-performance flexible connectors for air and fluid connctions. Mostly used for coolant, intake or intercoolers in engines. Especially in automotive, aeromotive and motorsport applications. Unlike conventional rubber hoses, they are made from advanced silicone, reinforced with multiple layers of textile fabric, providing excellent strength, flexibility, and durability.

What Types of Silicone Hoses and Sizes Are Available?

Silicone hoses and related components come in various shapes, a wide range of sizes and designs to suit different automotive applications.

Straight hoses & couplers are used to connect pipes, commonly in intercooler and intake systems.
Reducers & reducing elbows allow connections between different diameters.
Elbows & cobra head elbows are used to route hose-lines and intakes around obstacles.

What's important to know about Silicone Hoses?

1) The specified diameter refers to the inner diameter (ID) of the hose, while it refers to the outlet diameter (OD) at pipes and connections.
 
2) To determine the correct clamp size, add approximately 2 times the wall thickness to the inner diameter. That will tell you the outer diameter of the hose, which is the inner diameter of the clamp range.

3) Silicone hoses are slightly flexible and can typically stretched by 1–3 mm, allowing for minor size adjustments. If the exact needed size is not available, it is generally recommended to choose the next smaller size.
