Quick Tap Fittings

What is a Quick Tap Fitting?

Quick Taps are small plastic fittings that tap directly into a rubber or silicone hose to add an extra connection without replacing the entire hose assembly. They are commonly used in performance and motorsport applications to measure boost pressure, vacuum, or add water lines.

What Are Quick Taps Used For?

More specific uses include connecting boost gauges, wastegates, MAP sensors, blow-off valves (BOVs), crankcase ventilation systems, and idle air control systems. By creating a secure outlet directly in the hose, quick tap fittings allow for the integration of additional components directly into the system safely, quickly and efficiently.

What Makes BOOST Products Quick Taps the Best Solution?

BOOST Products Quick Taps are designed to provide a secure, leak-free connection while remaining easy to install. Unlike simple hose adapters, they are supplied as a complete tapping solution, making installation straightforward and reliable.

You can choose from CNC-machined aluminum or stainless steel BOOST Quick Taps, both offer excellent durability and corrosion resistance. The precision-machined design ensures a perfect seal, making them suitable for boost, vacuum, and water applications. BOOST Products Quick Taps have been a trusted silicone and rubber tapping solution for performance enthusiasts and motorsport builders alike.

What Sizes of Quick Taps Are Available?

BOOST Products Quick Taps are available in a range of sizes to match common hose diameters used in automotive applications.

The specified size always refers to the outer diameter of the Quick Tap fitting. For example, an 8 mm Quick Tap is designed to be used with a hose that has an 8 mm inner diameter. Our current offering ranges from 5mm (3/16") all the way up to 25mm (1").

Can I Use Quick Taps for Solid Hoses and Pipes?

These Quick Taps are primarily designed for installation in rubber and silicone hoses, so we would not recommend you try this with any solid hoses or pipes.

For rigid aluminum, stainless steel, or hard plastic pipes, dedicated weld-on fittings, threaded ports, or specialized pipe adapters are better solutions.

This makes Quick Taps an ideal solution for upgrades, sensor installations, and custom performance applications where flexibility and ease of installation are important.
